Of particular note is the original ROLEX blue tritium “nipple” dial, which, through years of exposure—likely to generous sunshine—has gracefully aged into a captivating tropical hue. The once-dark blue bezel insert has similarly transformed, now presenting a striking light blue tone. The resulting aesthetic is both rare and visually arresting.

Introduced in the early 1980s, the Reference 16808 was the first Submariner model to feature a sapphire crystal, following in the footsteps of the legendary Reference 1680.
