We are pleased to offer this early and rare Rolex Oysterdate Precision, reference 6066, in stainless steel — a charming mid-century timepiece featuring an original glossy black dial, vivid red date disc, and desirable Super Oyster crown.

Dating to the early 1950s, the reference 6066 is a lesser-seen midsize Rolex (34mm) that blends understated elegance with innovative technical features of the era. This particular example is especially attractive for collectors thanks to its untouched black dial with gilt text, syringe hands, and applied steel indices — all original and showing beautiful vintage character.

The red “roulette” date wheel adds a bold visual accent, and the presence of the original Super Oyster crown (used briefly in the early 1950s) confirms the watch's early production. This rare crown system was Rolex’s transitional solution before the full implementation of the modern screw-down Oyster crown.

Powering the watch is a manually-wound Rolex Caliber with patented Superbalance and regulation adjusted to two positions — a high-quality movement from the early post-war era, known for reliability and simplicity.
