The 216570 reference, launched to mark the model’s 40th anniversary, pays tribute to the original 1971 Explorer II while embracing Rolex’s latest technical advancements.

The 42mm stainless steel case offers a commanding yet comfortable wrist presence, while the fixed 24-hour bezel in brushed steel works in perfect harmony with the orange GMT hand, allowing the wearer to track a second time zone or distinguish between day and night. The black lacquer dial features luminous Chromalight hour markers and hands for exceptional legibility in low-light conditions.

Powering this model is the Rolex Caliber 3187, an in-house automatic movement equipped with a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers for enhanced precision and resistance to the elements.
