Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph Ref. 116264, Stainless Steel, 18k White Gold Bezel, “Standard de Liège” Dial, Limited to 100 Pieces, 2010, Unworn NOS with Stickers, Full Set

The Turn-O-Graph holds a special place in Rolex history. Launched in 1953, it was the first serially produced Rolex with a rotating bezel, and it paved the way for the great Rolex tool watches. This example adds a story you will hardly ever find on a Rolex. In 2009 Royal Standard de Liège, one of Belgium’s most famous football clubs, won its last national championship. To celebrate, the club commissioned Rolex to make just 100 Turn-O-Graphs with the club’s crest on the dial and a numbered engraving on the caseback.

The 36 mm Oyster case is made of stainless steel and closed with a screw-down crown. The bidirectional rotating bezel is made of 18 karat white gold and carries an engraved 60 minute scale, which lets you time anything from a meeting to a parking meter. Its fluted, polished surface catches the light beautifully. The caseback carries the individual number of the watch out of 100.

The white dial carries the Standard de Liège crest, the detail that makes this watch so special. Rolex very rarely allows logos on its dials, so a club commission like this is a true exception. The applied baton markers and luminous hands are clearly readable, and the red seconds hand, a signature of the Turn-O-Graph, adds a sporty accent. The Cyclops lens magnifies the date at 3 o’clock.

Inside works the Rolex caliber 3135, a self-winding chronometer movement regarded as one of the most reliable Rolex has ever built. The watch sits on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with folding clasp.

The watch dates from 2010 and is unworn, new old stock, with its original protective stickers still in place. It comes as a full set with box and papers.

One of only 100 pieces made for a legendary football club, and a Rolex with a story few collectors will ever own.
