Patek Philippe Ref. 5935A-001 — Flyback Chronograph World Time - Stainless Steel - Rose-Gilt Opaline - Box & Papers - 2022 Germany - Excellent Condition

A truly distinctive Patek Philippe, the Ref. 5935A-001 combines two of the manufacture’s most emblematic complications, a World Time display and a Flyback Chronograph, in a sporty 41 mm stainless-steel case.

The 5935A-001 was introduced as a steel interpretation of Patek Philippe’s celebrated World Time chronograph, bringing together traditional haute horlogerie with a more contemporary, vintage-inspired aesthetic. The polished stainless-steel case contrasts beautifully with the warm tones of the dial, giving the watch a particularly charismatic presence on the wrist. 

One of the defining features of the 5935A-001 is its rose-gilt opaline dial, often described by collectors as a pink, salmon or rose-colored dial. The warm rose-gilt tone gives the watch an elegant vintage character, while the carbon-patterned center adds a distinctly modern and sporty element. This unusual combination of colors and textures is what makes the 5935A-001 immediately recognizable.

The anthracite-colored white-gold applied hour markers and Dauphine-style hands provide a sharp contrast against the warm dial, with white luminescent coating for enhanced legibility. Around the dial, the World Time city ring displays 24 time zones, with day/night indication allowing the wearer to read the time around the world at a glance. 

At the heart of the watch is Patek Philippe’s automatic Calibre CH 28-520 HU, combining the World Time mechanism with a sophisticated Flyback Chronograph.

The 41 mm polished stainless-steel case measures 12.75 mm in thickness and features a sapphire-crystal case back, allowing a view of the finely engineered automatic movement. The watch was originally supplied with a hand-stitched taupe calfskin strap and an additional beige nubuck-finish calfskin strap, together with the stainless-steel folding clasp.
