The legendary first original version of the NAUTILUS, presented to the world in 1976. This particular example was produced in 1978 but sat at the dealer for nearly two years till it got sold in 1980. A situation, almost unthinkable at this day and age.

The second generation SIGMA dial is in an breathtaking good condition with small hints of the golden surface breaking through on some spots and still with the beautiful original Tritium louminus mass.

Inside is ticking the automatic calibre 28-255 C, based on the Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 920, also a true legend as well that was delivered not only to PATEK PHILIPPE but also to Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin.

Unworn since its last service with the sticker still on the back.

Definitely one of the greatest designs of the 1970ies made by the one and only GERALD GENTA.
