Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch – Hesalite – Greece – Papers – Bj-2019

We are pleased to present this iconic Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, Reference 311.30.42.30.01.005 — the classic Hesalite version with solid steel case back, embodying the purest expression of the legendary Moonwatch lineage. Originally delivered in Greece in 2019, this example comes with its original warranty card, pictogram card, and an Omega travel case.

The 42 mm stainless steel case features the unmistakable asymmetrical “lyre lug” design that has defined the Speedmaster since the 1960s. The black anodized aluminum tachymeter bezel frames the historically correct Hesalite (plexiglass) crystal — a defining characteristic of the Moonwatch worn during NASA’s Apollo missions. Unlike the sapphire variant, the Hesalite version offers a warm, slightly domed appearance and remains faithful to the original space-tested specification.

The black dial with white printed hour markers and chronograph scales ensures exceptional legibility. The classic tri-compax layout with small seconds, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter is both functional and perfectly balanced. Luminous hands and indices provide excellent visibility in low-light conditions, while the solid steel case back is engraved with the famous Moonwatch inscription, celebrating the Speedmaster’s role in space exploration.

At its heart beats the Omega manual-winding Caliber 1861, a direct descendant of the movement that powered the Speedmasters qualified by NASA for all manned space missions. Renowned for its robustness and reliability, the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours and represents one of the most historically significant chronograph calibers in watchmaking.

This example is fitted with an original Omega NATO strap, giving the watch a sporty and versatile character while emphasizing its tool-watch heritage. The NATO configuration enhances wearing comfort and underscores the Speedmaster’s adventurous spirit.
