Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Nonantième Ref. Q711252J, 18k Rose Gold, Limited Edition of 190 Pieces, 2021

In 1931 Jaeger-LeCoultre created the Reverso for polo players who wanted to protect the glass of their watches during a match. Ninety years later, the house celebrated that anniversary with the Nonantième. It brought a complication to the Reverso that had never been seen in this case before: a digital display of hours and minutes, inspired by watches Jaeger-LeCoultre made in the 1930s. Only 190 pieces were made, and they were sold exclusively in Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques.

The rose gold case measures 49.4 x 29.9 mm and carries the famous Art Deco lines of the Reverso, with gadroons along the upper and lower edges. Flip the case over and you'll discover a second face, so this watch really gives you two watches in one.

The front shows a classic Reverso. The silvered sunray dial carries applied rose gold markers and dauphine hands. At 12 o'clock sits a large date in a double window, and at 6 o'clock you'll find the small seconds together with the moon phase.

The back is where the Nonantième becomes truly special. Two round apertures, arranged like a figure eight and framed by gadroons, show the time digitally. The smaller window shows the jumping hour, the larger one the minutes on a rotating disc. In its center, a golden sun and moon indicate day and night, set against a blue lacquered plate decorated with small golden stars. It is one of the most poetic displays Jaeger-LeCoultre has ever made.

Inside works the manually wound and complicated caliber 826, developed specifically for this watch. It consists of 230 components, shows the time on both sides at once and offers 42 hours of power reserve.

This marvelous Reverso is worn on a black aligator strap and its rose gold pin buckle.

The watch dates from 2021 and is in ore than excellent condition - hardly worn piece. 

It comes as a full set with box and papers, limitation letter, setting pin, descrption booklet.
