A Highly Exclusive and Ingeniously Designed Dual Time Zone Wristwatch with Rotating Globe and Daylight Saving Time Adjustment.

The Octa UTC is François-Paul Journe’s innovative and intellectual take on the dual time zone complication, offering not only exceptional functionality but also an elegant and poetic execution.

The blued steel hour and minute hands display the local time and are directly linked to the date function. A secondary gold hand, positioned centrally, indicates the home time on a 24-hour scale, ensuring clear distinction between day and night.

Prominently featured on the left side of the dial is a meticulously detailed rotating globe, divided into 24 time zones. Through manipulation of the crown, the user aligns their home time zone to the “0” position, corresponding to standard (winter) time. In tandem, the gold 24-hour hand automatically adjusts to the correct hour of the selected region.

A subtle yet technically clever +1 / -1 indicator allows the wearer to compensate for daylight saving time. This adjustment depends on the user's geographic location in relation to the selected time zone—whether it lies to the east or west.

This particular OCTA UTC is cased in platinum and belongs to the prestigious “Black Label” collection, a series produced in extremely limited quantities and made available exclusively to existing F.P. Journe clients. Distinguished by its black dial and rarity, the Black Label series remains among the most sought-after offerings in contemporary haute horlogerie.
