CZAPEK & CIE Antarctique “Mount Erebus” Aqua Blue – 18k Rose Gold – Brand New – Full Set – Limited Edition of 100 — 19%VAT included
We are delighted to offer this brand-new Czapek & Cie Antarctique Mount Erebus in 18k rose gold, presented with a striking blue rubber strap and matching gold folding clasp. Delivered as a complete full set, this rare and highly sought-after edition is limited to only 100 pieces worldwide.
This Mount Erebus variant features a beautifully structured deep-blue “stick” dial, distinguished by its depth, texture, and vivid chromatic presence. The contrast between the rich rose-gold case and the cool, saturated blue of the dial and strap creates a bold yet refined aesthetic—an unmistakable expression of Czapek’s modern sports-luxury design language.
GOLD ON FIRE
The watch takes its name from Mount Erebus, located on Ross Island in Antarctica—the southernmost active volcano on Earth and one of only a few in continuous eruption. Discovered in 1841 and named after the HMS Erebus, the volcano is remarkable not only for its location but for the presence of gold within its lava. Estimated at around 80 grams per day, the gold is released into the atmosphere through volcanic gases, forever out of reach yet symbolically captured here in Czapek’s fiery rose-gold case.
MOVEMENT — Calibre SXH5.01
Powering this Antarctique is the in-house Czapek calibre SXH5.01, the brand’s first fully self-developed movement—conceived from a blank page and realized through a collaboration with Switzerland’s finest craftsmen. At its heart is an off-center microrotor that reveals an unobstructed view into the movement’s architectural depth.
A free-sprung balance with four gold inertia blocks ensures exceptional chronometric stability, while the entire gear train is secured beneath seven beautifully skeletonized bridges. Their lace-like geometry draws inspiration from 19th-century pocket watches and Czapek’s own Faubourg de Cracovie rotor, merging traditional haute horlogerie hand-finishing with advanced modern laser engraving techniques. The result is a movement that is as technically impressive as it is visually captivating.
A spectacular and extremely limited creation from one of independent watchmaking’s rising stars, this Antarctique Mount Erebus represents the fusion of artisanal craft, contemporary design, and poetic inspiration.
