We are proud to present this Breitling Crosswind Special, reference K44355, a chronograph that shows Breitling in a guise the brand rarely gets credit for: cast entirely in 18 karat yellow gold, worn on a brown alligator strap, and finished to a standard that has little to do with tool watches and everything to do with occasion.

The 44 millimeter case is solid yellow gold throughout, giving the watch genuine weight and presence on the wrist. The unidirectional bezel, in the same gold, and the rectangular pushers mark this out as the Special version, distinct from the standard Crosswind at a glance. A sapphire crystal protects the dial.

The black dial lays out the caliber B44 with real clarity: subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, and the big date beneath the 12, a signature of this reference and technically one of its more demanding features to construct well. The B44 itself is built on the proven ETA 2892 base with a chronograph module added, delivering approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

The strap is brown alligator leather, chosen to complement the warmth of the gold and to lend the watch a more formal character than a bracelet would.
