BREITLING Aviator 8 Chronograph "1953" Re-Edition, Reference RB0920131B1X1, 18k Rose Gold, Box and Papers, Year 2022, Full Set, Unworn, Limnited

Breitling built this piece as a direct tribute to the original Co-Pilot reference 765 AVI from 1953, the pilot's chronograph that stood alongside the Navitimer as one of the brand's defining tool watches of the era, and the resemblance is unmistakable the moment you see the dial.

The case is 18k rose gold, 41mm, fitted with a highly domed Hesalite crystal rather than the flat sapphire used on most modern Breitlings, a deliberate choice that keeps the vintage character intact. It sits on a brown vintage inspired leather strap secured by a matching rose gold pin buckle. Breitling limited this rose gold edition to just 253 pieces, each individually engraved "ONE OF 253" on the case back, making it a genuinely scarce piece within an already limited collection.

The black dial keeps the same layout as the original 1953 Co-Pilot, Arabic numerals, a small seconds counter at nine, a 15 minute counter at three and a 12 hour counter at six, all finished in a tone-on-tone style with hand applied Super-LumiNova chosen to echo the vintage luminescent material of the original piece.

Inside runs the caliber B09, Breitling's hand wound movement built on the architecture of its acclaimed B01, COSC chronometer certified and delivering roughly 70 hours of power reserve, giving this vintage inspired piece thoroughly modern reliability underneath the retro dial.
