We are honoured to present this exceptional and highly collectible Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo,” reference 5402ST, C-series, in stainless steel with its steel bracelet. 

The watch is preserved in truly outstanding unpolished condition and featuring a beautifully aged tropical grey dial.

The Royal Oak 5402 is where it all began — the original Gérald Genta design that redefined luxury sports watches in 1972. Its combination of a slim stainless steel case, integrated bracelet, and octagonal bezel secured by white gold screws remains one of the most influential designs in horological history.

This C-series example, produced in the late 1970s, retains its full factory geometry with sharp edges and crisp transitions between brushed and polished surfaces. The bracelet remains perfectly tight and original, underscoring the careful preservation of this piece over the decades.

The standout feature is the stunning “Tropical” grey dial, which has aged to a warm, even patina with perfectly preserved “AP” logo placement at 6 o’clock — characteristic of early 5402 executions. The “Petite Tapisserie” pattern remains sharp, and the tritium hour markers and hands exhibit a beautiful creamy tone, enhancing its vintage allure.

Powered by the legendary ultra-thin automatic caliber 2121, the same movement used in the earliest Royal Oaks, this piece embodies the perfect fusion of design, innovation, and horological heritage.
