AUDEMARS PIGEUT ROYAL OAK  Reference 15002BA - An Extremely Rare Icon, Accompanied by Box and Papers

We are delighted to  present you this excellent and unpolished Royal oak  in 18k yellow gold with its 18k yellow gold bracelet.

This 15002BA is presented with:

- warranty papers - Germany, BECKER, HAMBURG, April 1997.

Produced in an extremely limited edition of just 23 examples in yellow gold, the 15002BA is one of the rarest Royal Oak references ever made. 

Stylistically and technically, it pays direct homage to the original Royal Oak Ref. 5402 from the early 1970s—Gérald Genta’s groundbreaking design that revolutionized the luxury sports watch.

This reference shares numerous design elements with the original 5402, including the monobloc case construction with solid caseback and the iconic “tapisserie” dial. Notably, the bevelled bezel was adjusted slightly to a 45-degree angle—compared to 40 degrees on the 5402—while the applied AP logo and signature were executed in a more prominent size.

Produced between 1996 and 1998, a total of only 183 examples were made in stainless steel and a mere 23 in yellow gold, underscoring the extreme rarity and desirability of the present piece.
