A. Lange & Söhne Große Lange 1 - Reference 115.031 - 18k Rose Gold - Extract from the Archives - Excellent
Among contemporary haute horlogerie, few watches command the respect and admiration afforded to the A. Lange & Söhne Große Lange 1. A masterpiece of German watchmaking, the reference 115.031 represents the unmistakable design language that has become synonymous with the manufacture since its renaissance in 1994.
This example is presented in an elegant 18k rose gold case and distinguished by its highly attractive black dial with contrasting grey subsidiary dials. Considerably less encountered than the traditional silver dial configuration, this colour combination lends the Große Lange 1 a more contemporary and discreet character while preserving the perfect visual balance of its iconic asymmetrical display.
Powering the watch is the celebrated manufacture Calibre L901.2, a manually wound movement offering a 72-hour power reserve. Finished entirely by hand according to the exacting standards of A. Lange & Söhne, the movement is a showcase of traditional Saxon watchmaking, featuring untreated German silver plates, screwed gold chatons, blued screws, a hand-engraved balance cock, and an exceptional level of hand-finishing visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Each movement is assembled twice, a hallmark of the manufacture's uncompromising pursuit of perfection.
The watch is fitted with its original A. Lange & Söhne brown crocodile leather strap, secured by the original 18k rose gold Lange pin buckle, preserving the integrity and originality expected by discerning collectors.
Adding further desirability, the watch is accompanied by its:
- Extract from the A. Lange & Söhne Archives, confirming its production history
- A. Lange & Söhne service box.
It is offered in excellent overall condition, with crisp case proportions and a beautifully preserved dial, reflecting careful ownership throughout its life.
"An elegant, highly collectible example of one of the great modern classics of fine watchmaking."
Comes with a one-year warranty through our watch lab.
