We are proud to present this outstanding A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Chronograph Ref. 401.026, one of the most celebrated manually wound chronographs of modern haute horlogerie.

Crafted in 18k white gold and produced in around 2002, this exceptional example is offered in excellent condition. The watch is accompanied by its original box and an extract from the archives, and has benefited from a full service by A. Lange & Söhne in 2025, ensuring impeccable mechanical performance.

The 39.5 mm case in 18k white gold reflects the classical elegance of the 1815 collection, inspired by traditional Saxon watchmaking. With its balanced proportions, stepped bezel, and refined finishing, the case offers a timeless and sophisticated presence on the wrist.

The dial is a masterpiece of clarity and symmetry, featuring Arabic numerals, railway minute track, and perfectly proportioned chronograph subdials. The blued steel hands provide a striking contrast, enhancing both legibility and aesthetic harmony—hallmarks of A. Lange & Söhne’s design philosophy.

At the heart of the watch lies the awesome and very beautiful in-house caliber L951.5, a manually wound chronograph movement widely regarded as one of the finest ever produced. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement reveals untreated German silver plates, a hand-engraved balance cock, gold chatons, and a beautifully constructed column-wheel chronograph mechanism. Every detail is executed with extraordinary precision and artistry.

The watch is fitted with a high-quality leather strap and an 18k white gold buckle, perfectly complementing the elegance of the case.
