We are pleased to offer this excellent Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 3919J, an enduring icon of classic watch design crafted in 18k yellow gold and distinguished by its signature “Clous de Paris” hobnail bezel. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives. 

This example represents one of the most beloved and recognizable dress watches ever created by Patek Philippe.

Introduced in the 1980s and produced for over two decades, the Ref. 3919 quickly became synonymous with the purest expression of the Calatrava philosophy. Its 33 mm yellow-gold case offers understated elegance, refined proportions, and a timeless profile that has made it a cornerstone of Patek Philippe’s modern history. 

The white lacquered dial exudes classical sophistication, featuring black Roman numerals, a discreet small seconds register at 6 o’clock, and slender feuille hands in matching yellow gold. This example, from first ownership,  remains in excellent condition, with well-preserved case lines, a clean bezel pattern, and  made in 18k yellow gold. Paired with the original alligator strap and the original vintage 18k yellow-gold Patek Philippe pin buckle, the watch maintains its full elegance and original character.

Powering the Ref. 3919J is the legendary hand-wound Caliber 215 PS, one of Patek Philippe’s most refined and enduringly respected movements. Slim, precise, and beautifully finished, it exemplifies the maison’s dedication to traditional haute horlogerie. Visible through the solid caseback only during servicing, the movement nonetheless carries all the hallmarks of Patek Philippe’s meticulous craftsmanship.
